Foundation and Founding Visionaries: Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College was founded in 1997 by the visionary members of the V.S.V. Vidyaa Mandir Trust. The trust was established with the noble objective of meeting the higher educational needs of both rural and urban youth in Pollachi and other districts of Tamil Nadu. The founding visionaries, Thiru. P.M. Thyagarajan, Thiru. M.K. Arumugam, and Thiru. D. Leadership and Management: Over the years, SSTC has been ably run and professionally managed by highly enterprising and service-minded individuals. The current leadership, with Thiru. M.A. Vijayamoghan as Chairman, Thiru. T. Sethupati as Vice Chairman, and Thiru. S. Venkkatesh as Secretary, brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the institution. Former Director General and New Dimensions: The late Dr. M. Settu, the Former Director General of SSTC, played a pivotal role as a brilliant corporate wizard in transforming the institution into an excellent one. The induction of new directors - Mrs. Shravanthy Krishnamurthy, Mr. M.V. Sreekanth, and Mr. P.T.S.
