Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, also known as B.ASLP is a four years undergraduate paramedical programme. The course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. Audiology is a field which involves the study of sound balance and hearing disorder in people. Speech Language Pathology is a field which deals with the study of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, voice and swallowing disorder in the people. The aim of the programme is to make students competent by making them learn basic diagnosis skills and treatment of patients with speech, language and hearing disorders.
During the course of the programme, students will undergo three year classroom and practical training and last final year will be dedicated to the internship. Any student who has completed his or her senior secondary examination with physics , chemistry and mathematics or biology as a main subject from a recognized education board can apply for admission in the B.ASLP programme offered by various institutes across the country.
