Overview

MPT is a two-year-long postgraduate course that deals with the techniques and methods concerning the well-being of an individual. It deals with various aspects of physiotherapy in order to improve the patient’s physical well-being along with providing the proper medication. The various areas of study in the MPT courses list include general physiotherapy, anatomy, and physiology, healthcare, fitness, motor development, neuromuscular stimulation, etc.

A Master of Physiotherapy is a postgraduate level programme in the field of medical science that focuses on a special type of therapy to treat and control various diseases and disorders in humans. Candidates who want to establish a career in the field of medical science can opt for this programme after a successful completion of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme. Unlike the MBBS programme, it focuses on treatment of various human disorders with certain type of therapies and exercises. After successfully qualifying a Master of Physiotherapy, candidates can opt for a therapeutic profession and serve as a Physiotherapist in hospitals and healthcare facilities. They can work independently and provide consultation services in their own clinic.
