The PGP Institutions functioning on a sprawling and sylvan campus of 450 acres is the realization of the dream of Dr. Palani G Periasamy, M.A., M.A., Ph.D., (USA) to establish colleges of International Standard in Namakkal his native place. Having served as full tenured Professor in America and based on his experience in his wide tour of the world, Dr.Palani G. Periasamy has set up these institutions to impart quality learning in all disciplines.
Since 1987 PGP Group – Chennai has added a new dimension to the industrial scene of India. The group of companies was promoted by Dr. Palani G.Periasamy, a Nonresident Indian based in the USA. Under his leadership, this group created an impact in the Sugar industry, Hospitality, Education, Construction, Property management and development, Financial Services and Travels.

PGP is a beautifully designed world class institution located in Namakkal away from noise and pollution. Spread out in an area of 450 acres, abutting National Highway NH - 7, the college is well connected by buses from the neighboring towns of Salem, Karur, Tiruchengode, Coimbatore just to name a few. Thiruchirapalli is about 2 hours away, while a bus ride to Salem takes a little over an hour. College buses operate in required adequacy to connect to the neighbouring areas.

Training and placement are the most important activities from the management’s stand point. Our own sugar factories, hospitality industry, tour and travel, offer immense training and employment opportunities to our students. In addition to the above, close tie-ups with other organisations provide an added advantage to our students. The college assist the students in arranging for “in-plant” industrial training. The training and placement cell is committed to finding the optimal student placement.
