Overview

The fellowship programme is on  speech and swallowing rehabilitation after head and neck cancer surgery is a unique project of the department of Speech language studies  is for 5 months  duration.  The fellowship program is designed with the and aims to provide expert clinical skills in speech and swallowing rehabilitation of head and neck cancer. The programme also compromised of clinical posting of fellows to cancer hospital such as includes posting in Kidwai Memorial  Institute of Oncology, Bangalore and Narayana Hrudayalaya,Banglore  where the fellows gets exposure to attend the ward rounds for both in patient and out patients apart from  attending surgery  with consultation along with the Head and Neck Surgeons who are pioneers in the field for the Onco surgery . The institute will   involve teaching from all the team members such as speech and swallowing therapist, surgeons, nurses, radiologist, nutritionist, dietician, physiotherapist and social worker.
