Founded in the transformative year of 1978 by the eminent educationist Shri. M. G. Bharath Kumar, the Mahendra Educational Trust has been an exemplary institution dedicated to providing top-notch education to rural children. This visionary initiative took root in Kalippatty, strategically positioned midway between Salem and Tiruchengode, under the guidance of Thiru. M.G. Bharath Kumar, the distinguished Chairman of the Trust.

Assisting in matters of Policy, Planning, and Development of the Institutions, Thiru. M.G. Bharath Kumar is supported by the Governing and Advisory Council. The Secretary of the Trust, Tmt. Valliyammal Bharath Kumar, recognized as a best teacher awardee, brings her expertise to the forefront. Adding a dynamic touch to the leadership team, Thiru Ba. Mahendhiran, a young and dynamic engineer, serves as the Managing Director, steering the trust towards new horizons.

Established in 1995 by the visionary Shri.M.G.Bharathkumar, this college embodies the noble intent of educating the underprivileged in the Salem and Namakkal districts. Functioning as an Autonomous Institution and holding ISO 9001:2008 certification, the Mahendra Engineering College offers a diverse range of academic programs, including 14 Undergraduate and 9 Postgraduate courses in Engineering.
